In love with my new notebooks. For those of you that still take notes…take note of this!

I adore Rhodia notebooks….the orange and black….and they are not just architecturally correct, and I have loved orange as a color forever, but they are really smart… if you check out their website, you will see that the collection has grown so much since they began in 1934. I remember being in high school and bringing them back from France, for years though now, one can find them here.

I am also a big fan of Clairefontaine as well..the shapes are slightly different, but I have huge handwriting, yet, I love notebooks with those small graph papers….as they keep me in check (no pun intended) and I so enjoy the experience of writing in them…I have them in all sizes as well.

I have a new project and need a new notebook ….so off to a store on 59th street I went to just absorb all the options…Unfortunately not enough people like me exist and it seems that said stationery store closed a few weeks ago….well, on to Sam Flax on Third Avenue and I was in heaven.

I found two new notebooks that I had never seen before and I bet they would be so great for you too. The first one is called the Reverse notebook, as it is something you can turn either way, depending on your preference of having the binding on the top or side….and again, enjoy the writing experience. What I love about it is that it is square….very fun!

I also discovered something they call a “meeting book” and hopefully you can see that you have sections on the page (now, here we are into lines, not graph paper..but I am dealing) and there is a section for “action”…..I always have that issue during a meeting, of having to highlight or to star what the “next steps” are…but count on our French friends to have figured this out….

My Clairefontaine notebooks have sections, and colors…so I am really torn as to which I will use for this project I had in mind….probably both in some form or another….I feel just as excited as if I had purchased new shoes…well almost.

Make your life easy…order on line at the Rhodia site, or at Sam Flax……and get organized…
